The story might feel like window dressing for the most part if you’re looking for deep, philosophical questions to ponder, but then I’d have to question exactly why you picked up a copy of this game and expected it to go all Nietzsche on you.

Having no background knowledge of the series definitely isn’t a barrier to enjoyment here.
